While it is becoming increasingly common for many manufacturers to duplicate or bootleg parts, there are plenty of
reasons to consider why you shouldn’t.
The OEM part has its design origin from the pump designer and that part is designed to be in concert with the pump and its operation.
The “take-off” part however is reversed engineered and often leaves valuable, but subtle design aspects unconsidered. As with most copies of any complex design, it may suffer from significant flaws. These potential flaws can shorten the pump’s life, add to the maintenance costs, and invalidate the pump’s warranty as well. More importantly, the very safety of your pump operation can be significantly compromised.

When you consider parts for your next pump ask yourself the following questions:
Who is the design expert on my pump?
When I have a problem with my pump operation or performance who will be able to answer my questions?
When my process changes who can help me with the affects that it will have on my pump and perhaps even my process?
Who will stand behind their product after I install the required parts?
Who has been in the business of making pumps and pump parts for over 100 years?
Will they be around 10 years from now?
